Directions for use of Pollicrom 20 mg/ml eye drops: Pollicrom eye drops contain the active substance sodium cromoglicate, which is used to treat conjunctivitis caused by allergies. This can occur, for example, with hay fever or spring catarrh. Before use, it should be noted that Pollicrom eye drops must not be used if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. Special care should be taken if contact lenses are worn. These should be removed before the drops are applied and not reinserted until 15 minutes later. The recommended dose is 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 4 times daily. The duration of use depends on the symptoms and exposure to allergens. Possible side effects include burning of the eye, swelling of the conjunctiva, a feeling of foreign bodies in the eye and a feeling of warmth in the eye. Generally, these complaints subside spontaneously. If the symptoms are more severe, a doctor should be consulted. Pollicrom eye drops are available without prescription in pharmacies. The pack size is 10 ml. They should be protected from light and stored below 25 °C. They can be used for 12 weeks after opening.
