Using the Accu-Chek Insight Rapid infusion set

When using the Accu-Chek Insight Rapid infusion set for the first time, you should set the filling level on your Accu-Chek Insight insulin pump according to the table given in the instructions for use.Take the time to read the instructions for use thoroughly as they contain detailed instructions and important safety information.

Wash your hands thoroughly before use.Connect the coupling pieces of the cannula and the hose & adapter until they audibly click into place.Make sure that the adapter is screwed correctly onto the bayonet fitting of the ampoule compartment.Fill the infusion set (tube & cannula) as described in the instructions for use.

To place the infusion set, hold it by the handle and remove both parts of the protective film.Unscrew the needle cover and insert the needle at a 90° angle in a location away from a recent puncture site.Press the patch firmly onto the skin and hold it while carefully removing the handle of the infusion set.

The infusion set is inserted at a 90° angle (vertical).The cannula is made of steel and has a diameter of 0.36 millimeters and a length of 6 millimeters.It is fixed using a self-adhesive plaster and the coupling can be disconnected from the hose.The infusion set is available in a box with 25 cannulas, each packed separately.
