Pancreatin STADA 20,000 is an enteric-coated medicinal product in the form of hard capsules. It contains the active substance pancreatic powder from pigs (pancreatin) in an amount of 20,000 Ph.Eur. units of lipase per capsule. The medicine is used to treat digestive disorders caused by insufficient function of the pancreas. The use of Pancreatin STADA 20,000 is suitable for children, adolescents and adults. It improves the symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, including stool consistency, abdominal pain, flatulence and stool frequency. It should be taken during or immediately after a meal or snack to thoroughly mix the enzymes with the food. The dosage of the medicine depends on the fat content of the food and can be adjusted by your doctor. As a rule, the recommended dose is 1-2 capsules with the main meals. The capsules should be taken unchewed and with plenty of liquid. If necessary, your doctor can increase the dose. Pancreatin STADA 20,000 should be stored at room temperature away from moisture.
