Travel tablets Sanavita 50 mg tablets
Dimenhydrinate is an anti-nausea and vomiting agent from the group of H1 antihistamines.Travel tablets Sanavita 50 mg tablets are used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting of various origins, especially motion sickness.No prescription is required for this product.
Ingredients
Each tablet contains 50 mg dimenhydrinate as active ingredient.The excipients include calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, carboxymethyl starch sodium (type A) (Ph.Eur), microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur) and highly disperse silicon dioxide.
Area of application
The preparation is used to prevent and treat motion sickness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.It is not suitable for use in chemotherapy.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to dimenhydrinate, other antihistamines or any of the other ingredients.It is not suitable for premature and newborn babies, children up to and including 5 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.The preparation should also not be used in the case of seizures, acute asthma attacks, enlargement of the prostate gland with residual urine formation, increased intraocular pressure, adrenal tumor, alcohol abuse, insufficient blood flow to the brain, aminoglycoside antibiotic treatment, disruption of the production of the blood pigment and simultaneous therapy with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.To prevent motion sickness, you should take 1 tablet 3 times a day, with the first tablet taken 30 minutes before the start of your trip.To treat motion sickness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, you can take 1 - 2 tablets every 4 hours, but no more than 6 tablets per day.Children 6 to 12 years old should take 1/2 - 1 tablet every 6 - 8 hours, but no more than 3 tablets per day.
The preparation should only be taken for a few days without consulting your doctor.In the event of an overdose, drowsiness, dizziness and anticholinergic symptoms may occur.In the event of a massive overdose, convulsions, mental disorders, restlessness, rapid heartbeat, increased blood pressure and pronounced anticholinergic symptoms can occur.In the event of an overdose, call the nearest doctor available for help.
Intake
Take the tablets preferably before meals with plenty of liquid.
Patient information
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have impaired liver function, irregular heartbeat, potassium or magnesium deficiency, slow heartbeat, certain heart diseases, chronic breathing problems, asthma or a narrowing at the outlet of the stomach.The tablets can impair your ability to react, especially when combined with alcohol.
Pregnancy
The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy as dimenhydrinate can trigger premature contractions.Dimenhydrinate passes into breast milk and should therefore not be taken while breastfeeding.
Notes
Contains lactose.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
