PURE ENCAPSULATIONS Vitamin D3 4000 I.U. capsules are a food supplement designed to increase vitamin D levels in the body. Vitamin D is also called the "sun vitamin" because the body can only produce it if the skin is exposed to sufficient sunlight. Especially in winter, when the sun is less strong, vitamin D deficiency can occur. But even in summer, various factors such as darker skin, age or sunscreen can affect vitamin D formation. Vitamin D plays an important role in bone metabolism, the immune system, cell division and muscle function. Each capsule PURE ENCAPSULATIONS Vitamin D3 4000 I.U. contains 100 mcg (4000 I.U.) of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and corresponds to 20 mcg (800 I.U.) of vitamin D3 when taken every 5 days. This covers 400 % of the recommended daily dose. The capsules contain microcrystalline cellulose and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose as further ingredients. The food supplement should be kept out of the reach of children and protected from light and moisture. The recommended intake should not be exceeded. It should be noted that food supplements cannot replace a varied diet and that this and a healthy lifestyle are important.
