HYLOVIS LIPO multi eye drops are a sterile, hypoosmolar emulsion tear substitute. They contain 0.18% sodium hyaluronate and are preservative free. The drops come in a 10 ml multidose vial. Hands should be washed thoroughly before dropping. When using for the first time, the integrity of the sealing ring should be checked and the cap unscrewed. The vial should be shaken before each drop. The drops are instilled into the eye by pulling the lower eyelid slightly downwards and pressing the vial. The dropper tip should not touch the eye or eyelids. After application, the blinking of the eyelids spreads the emulsion evenly over the surface of the eye. The vial should be closed again after each use. The eye drops are also suitable for contact lens wearers. It is important to wash hands thoroughly and ensure that the dropper tip does not come into contact with the eye, hands or eyelids to avoid microbial contamination. The vial should not be used if it is damaged and the expiry date should be observed. Once opened, the vial should be used within 4 months. If other eye drops have been prescribed, an interval of 15 minutes between applications should be observed. If symptoms persist during use, a doctor should be consulted. The eye drops should be kept out of the reach of children. The composition of the eye drops includes sodium hyaluronate, triglycerides and phospholipids, lipoic acid, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, citric acid, sodium chloride and water for injection.
