Application of Dispatenol eye drops

Dispatenol eye drops are used to treat dryness of the cornea and conjunctiva.These can be caused by disorders of tear secretion, whether due to local or systemic diseases.The product can also be used if the eyelids are incompletely closed.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Dispatenol eye drops contain the active ingredients dexpanthenol and poly(vinyl alcohol) (Ph. Eur.).One milliliter of the solution contains 30 milligrams of dexpanthenol and 14 milligrams of poly(vinyl alcohol) (Ph. Eur.).

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in Dispatenol eye drops, you should not use the product.

Dosage and application

The recommended dosage of Dispatenol eye drops is one drop into the conjunctival sac up to six times daily.Please note that this information is only a guide and your doctor may give you other dosage instructions.Follow the instructions for use to ensure the effectiveness of the product.

Patient information

After use, visual impairment may occur for a short period of time.Wait until this has passed before driving or operating machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no known restrictions on use of dexpanthenol during pregnancy.For poly(vinyl alcohol), there are no data on placental passage and passage into breast milk.Since poly(vinyl alcohol) is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract either topically or after oral intake, no risks are to be expected.
