Application of Dispatenol eye drops

Dispatenol eye drops are used to relieve symptoms of dryness on the cornea and conjunctiva.These can be caused by insufficient tear production due to local or general diseases as well as incomplete eyelid closure.The product forms a protective film on the surface of the eye.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Dispatenol eye drops contain the active ingredients dexpanthenol and poly(vinyl alcohol) (Ph. Eur.).One milliliter of the solution contains 30 milligrams of dexpanthenol and 14 milligrams of poly(vinyl alcohol) (Ph. Eur.).

Contraindications

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, you should not use the product.

Dosage and application

No prescription is required for this product.The recommended dosage is one drop instilled into the conjunctival sac up to six times daily.Please follow the application instructions to ensure the effectiveness of the product.

Intake

The eye drops are dripped directly into the conjunctival sac.

Patient information

Immediately after use, visual impairment may occur for a short period of time.Wait until your blurred vision disappears before driving or operating machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no known restrictions on use for dexpanthenol.For poly(vinyl alcohol), there are no data on placental passage and passage into breast milk.However, no risks are to be expected since poly(vinyl alcohol) is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract either topically or after oral intake.
