Directions for use of the article Dispatenol eye drops: Dispatenol eye drops are used for the symptomatic treatment of dehydration of the cornea and conjunctiva. These can occur due to tear secretion disorders caused by local or systemic underlying diseases, as well as in cases of poor eyelid closure. Dispatenol eye drops are used by dropping up to 6 drops per day into the conjunctival sac. It is important that you follow the instructions for use to achieve the best possible effect. The main ingredients of Dispatenol eye drops are dexpanthenol and poly(vinyl alcohol). Dexpanthenol, a related vitamin to pantothenic acid, heals injured skin and mucous membranes. Poly(vinyl alcohol) increases the viscosity of the drops and provides long-lasting moisturisation of the ocular surface. There is no evidence that the use of Dispatenol eye drops has any harmful effects during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you wear contact lenses, you should remove them before using the drops and replace them after about 15 minutes. No specific side effects of Dispatenol eye drops can be identified. However, if any adverse effects occur, please contact your doctor or pharmacist. Dispatenol eye drops contain a preservative that can accumulate in soft contact lenses. Therefore, you should use them again at the earliest 15 minutes after application. Dispatenol eye drops should be stored at temperatures below 25 °C and protected from light.
