The NeilMed® Sinus Rinse nasal rinse salt is a medical device for nasal irrigation with salt water that can be used with the Sinus Rinse nasal rinse or other nasal cleaning devices.It is suitable for colds, allergies and hay fever, dry and stuffy noses.It can also be used after operations, for general nasal hygiene, for polyps, irritation of the nasal mucous membranes, asthma, hay fever, for Covid19 patients or when flying.

The NeilMed® Sinus Rinse nasal rinse salt contains 60 bags of nasal rinse salt.One dosing bag contains 2.4g PH-coordinated sodium chloride.

If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of NeilMed® Sinus Rinse nasal rinse salt dosing bag for nasal shower: Use the product with the Sinus Rinse nasal rinse or other nasal cleaning devices.

If you have an active cold, it is recommended to rinse with a normal dose of salts 3-4 times a day.For Covid patients, it is recommended to rinse with 2 salt packets 2-3 times a day.

Use with the Sinus Rinse nasal rinse: Follow the enclosed instructions for use!Do not use tap water until it has been sterilized by boiling!Fill 240 ml of boiled water into the bottle (marking line), add a sachet of nasal rinse salt to the bottle and close the bottle.Dissolve the salt by swirling the bottle until the salt is completely dissolved.

Stand or sit comfortably over a hand basin.Hold the tip of the bottle against one nostril and gently squeeze the bottle.The salt water rinses the nose and then drains out the other nostril.Breathe calmly through your mouth while rinsing and avoid swallowing movements. If the salt water gets into the back of the nose, the roof of the mouth closes reflexively.

The salt water completely fills the nostril and then drains out the other nostril.Mucus and foreign bodies are flushed out.Occasionally it can happen that some salt water runs down your throat.This is completely harmless and can be avoided by saying a long "Aaaaa" throughout the entire flushing process.Each rinse should last 7-10 seconds.

Rinse the other nostril in the same way.If there is too much salt water in your nose, you can remove it by gently blowing your nose.However, be careful not to close your nose completely when blowing your nose to avoid pressure in your nose or ears.A small amount of salt water may remain in the nose and may not drain for a few hours.This is harmless and can be avoided by tilting your head forward and turning it slightly from side to side after rinsing so that the salt water can drain completely.Do not rinse the nose if it is completely or very blocked.In such a case, briefly use a decongestant product before rinsing.For correct use, you should squeeze the bottle so hard that between a quarter and half of the contents are dispensed per flush.

If used regularly, we recommend replacing the Sinus Rinse bottle after three months for hygienic and functional reasons.It can be disposed of with household waste.Please store dry and at room temperature.

The Sinus Rinse nasal rinse contains small parts.Keep out of the reach of children!The product must not be shared with other people.

Application

Fill the pressure bottle to the top with 240ml of body-warm water.Add the contents of a dosing sachet and wait until the contents have dissolved.Over the sink, alternately hold the tip of the bottle under one nostril and gently press the bottle until the salt water rinses your nose and flows out of the other nostril.

Notes

A bag for preparing an isotonic solution is recommended for daily nasal care.For more severe symptoms such as inflammation or irritation, using 2 hypertonic solution sachets may provide more intense relief.No nasal douche is included in delivery.

Tips for use

Do not rinse your nose with pure water (without salt), this can irritate the nasal mucous membranes.Do not use sea salt or table salt, these salts may contain impurities or additives and auxiliary substances.The NeilMed nasal rinse salt is a salt combination of the purest medicinal quality and contains a patented combination of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate.This results in almost no discomfort or discomfort when rinsing the nose.

If you have an existing ear infection or a completely blocked nose, you should not use nasal irrigation.If you have recently had surgery on your ears or sinuses, consult your doctor before rinsing your nose.For hygiene reasons, a nasal douche should only be used by the same person.

Cleaning the nasal douche

It is important to keep the rinse bottle clean.Please check the bottle, the bottle attachment with the hose carefully for cracks and color changes - if there are signs of wear, damage or permanent color changes, please replace the bottle.

To clean, use a few drops of dishwashing liquid and fill the bottle with warm water.Screw the tip with the hose back onto the bottle, hold the opening closed with a finger and shake the bottle vigorously.Squeeze the bottle and empty the cleaning water through the hose with the bottle tip - empty the bottle completely.Rinse the bottle again with clean water and allow the bottle to air dry.

Additionally, you can place the bottle and all parts - after cleaning - in the microwave for 40 seconds.This means that the nasal shower is almost germ-free.We recommend cleaning the nasal douche NICHT in the dishwasher, the water jets cannot get into the inside of the bottle or into the tube.
