Directions for use of the article Crataegus Comp.: Crataegus comp. is an anthroposophical medicinal product for supporting the heart and circulation. It is used for diseases of the cardiovascular system, such as old-age heart, insensitivity in the heart region, fluctuations in blood pressure and also for febrile diseases. The dilution contains a mixture of different active substances, including Aurum metallicum praeparatum Dil. D15, Cactus grandiflorus, ethanol. Digestio Dil. D4, Onopordum acanthium, Flos rec., Primula veris, Flos rec., and Cor bovis Dil. D6. There are some important notes to follow. Crataegus comp. must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, to animal protein or to composite plants. If you have pain in the heart area that radiates to other parts of the body, or if you have shortness of breath, seek medical advice. Crataegus comp. should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is insufficient documented experience. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Crataegus comp. should always be taken according to the doctor's instructions. The usual dose is 15-25 drops 3-5 times daily, preferably diluted with water. If a dose is forgotten, the double dose should be avoided. As with all medicinal products, the use of Crataegus comp. side effects may occur, but these do not occur in everyone. Hypersensitivity reactions are rare. Possible side effects should be reported to a doctor or pharmacist. It is important to note that Crataegus comp. contains alcohol and therefore has an alcohol content of 19% by volume.
