Centrovision AMD Premium tablets are a food for special medical purposes specifically developed for the dietary management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).This product is suitable for people with intermediate and advanced AMD .The composition of the ingredients corresponds to the scientific findings of the AREDS-2 study.

Centrovision AMD Premium tablets contain a balanced combination of vitamins, minerals and carotenoids.The main ingredients are vitamin C, vitamin E of plant origin, zinc, copper, lutein and zeaxanthin.The tablets are lactose and gluten free and therefore suitable for vegetarians.

Area of application

Centrovision AMD Premium tablets are designed for diet management in intermediate and advanced AMD .The macula lutea, also called the “yellow spot,” is the point of sharpest vision in the center of the retina.In AMD , this region is affected, which can lead to a reduction in vision.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is 1 tablet each morning and evening, unchewed and preferably with a meal, with plenty of liquid.It is important to follow the instructions of the ophthalmologist or doctor.

Contraindications

Interesting facts about the three-layer tablet

The three layers of the tablet contribute to optimal absorption of the ingredients.The light orange layer with vitamin C dissolves in the stomach so that the ingredient is available to the entire intestinal system for rapid absorption.The middle light layer with zinc and copper only dissolves in the small intestine and is therefore gentle on the stomach.The orange layer with lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E is the last component to decompose very slowly in the intestine and releases the ingredients in the corresponding intestinal sections.Lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E are absorbed together with fats, and the joint dissolution of these ingredients with the specially developed fat matrix of the tablet contributes to their optimal absorption.
