Centrovision AMD Premium tablets are a food for special medical purposes specifically developed for the dietary management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in intermediate and advanced stages.This product is available without a prescription.

The tablets contain a balanced combination of vitamins, minerals and carotenoids.These include vitamins C and E, the minerals zinc and copper as well as the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin.This composition is based on the findings of a large human study and is coordinated according to the AREDS-2 guidelines.

The macula lutea, also known as the “yellow spot,” is the area of sharpest vision in the retina of the eye.Their yellowish color comes from the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin.Age-related macular degeneration is a disease that affects this region of the eye.

The tablets consist of three layers that enable optimal absorption of the ingredients in the gastrointestinal tract.The light orange layer with vitamin C dissolves in the stomach, the middle layer with zinc and copper is released in the small intestine, and the orange layer with lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamin E slowly decomposes in the intestine, allowing the ingredients to be optimally absorbed.

Centrovision AMD Premium tablets contain the following ingredients: L-ascorbic acid, D-tocopherol, microcrystalline cellulose, fatty acids, maltodextrin, lutein-rich extract from Tagetes erecta, corn starch, zinc oxide, silicon dioxide, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, zeaxanthin-rich extract from Tagetes erecta, copper gluconate, hydroxypropylcellulose, iron oxides and hydroxides,Ethyl cellulose.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is 1 tablet each morning and evening, unchewed and preferably with a meal with plenty of liquid.Please follow the instructions of your ophthalmologist or doctor.
