Soledum® addicur

Soledum® addicur is an anti-inflammatory and expectorant medicine that is used as an additional treatment for chronic and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract.These include, for example, diseases of the paranasal sinuses, asthma and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).The preparation contains the active ingredient cineole, a key component of eucalyptus oil, and is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 12 and over.

In COPD there is chronic inflammation of the bronchial mucosa.Inhibiting inflammation is crucial both for the success of therapy and for preventing acute deterioration, so-called exacerbations. COPD is currently not curable, but a combination of drug therapy and self-management can relieve symptoms, slow disease progression, and improve prognosis.

COPD and exacerbations can severely impact quality of life.However, by taking active action, you can influence the course of the disease and prevent exacerbations.An important step is to stop smoking if you still smoke.Exercise is also crucial to increase exercise capacity and strengthen the immune system, which helps you better protect yourself against respiratory infections.

Ingredients of Soledum® addicur 200 mg gastro-resistant soft capsules: Each capsule contains 200 mg cineole as the active ingredient.Other ingredients include medium chain triglycerides, gelatin, glycerol 85%, sorbitol 70%, ethyl cellulose, ammonium hydroxide, oleic acid, sodium alginate, stearic acid and candelilla wax.

Soledum® addicur is used as an additional treatment for chronic and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract such as COPD and asthma.The preparation has an anti-inflammatory and expectorant effect.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is one capsule 3 times daily (corresponding to 200 mg cineole).In particularly stubborn cases, the dose can be increased to one capsule four times a day.For continued and long-term treatment, one capsule twice a day is generally sufficient.The capsules should be taken whole with plenty of liquid (200 ml), if possible half an hour before eating.Hot drinks should be avoided.If you have a sensitive stomach, you can take it with meals.

Intake

Please take the preparation whole with plenty of liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water [200 ml]), not a hot drink, if possible half an hour before eating.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the product with meals.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor before taking Soledum® addicur if you suffer from diseases that are associated with severe hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract.In the case of bronchial asthma and COPD , therapy should only be carried out under medical supervision.If you have symptoms that last longer than a week, shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum, you should consult a doctor.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.There are no scientific studies on its use in pregnant women.If you are pregnant, you should only use the product after consulting your doctor.Due to the fat-soluble properties of the active ingredient, excretion into breast milk cannot be ruled out.The product should only be used during breastfeeding after consulting your doctor.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.Soledum® addicur must not be taken by children under 12 years of age.

Notes
