Information for use on the article Ciclopirox beta 80 mg/g nail varnish containing active substance: This medicinal product is a nail varnish containing active substance which is used for the treatment of fungal nail infections (onychomycoses). It contains the active substance ciclopirox, which belongs to a group of antifungals. Ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and acts against various fungal pathogens. It is applied once a day by applying a thin layer of the nail polish to the affected nail. Affected parts of the nail should be removed before application. The duration of treatment should not exceed 6 months. If the lacquer layer is damaged, it is sufficient to coat the chipped areas with nail polish. The medicinal product is not suitable for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. There may be possible side effects such as contact dermatitis, skin redness and skin scaling. Before use, the package leaflet should be read and the doctor or pharmacist consulted if there are any questions.
