ZODIN® Omega-3 1000 mg

ZODIN® contains highly purified, polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids and is one of the agents that can lower cholesterol and triglycerides.It is used to treat certain forms of elevated blood lipid levels, so-called endogenous hypertriglyceridemia, when dietary measures alone are not sufficient.This lipid metabolism disorder is associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis.Blood lipids can be reduced through a combination of dietary changes and drug therapy.The omega-3 fatty acids in ZODIN® have a blood lipid-lowering effect and can be taken in high concentrations.The required dose can be achieved with the ethyl ester concentrate made from 90% omega-3 fatty acids with just 2 to 4 capsules ZODIN®.

Area of application

ZODIN® Omega-3 1000 mg soft capsules contain a natural Omega-3 combination for the treatment of certain forms of elevated blood lipid levels when dietary measures alone are not sufficient.One soft capsule contains 1000 mg of omega-3 acid ethyl ester 90, consisting of 840 mg of doconexent ethyl (380 mg) and icosapent ethyl (460 mg), high doses of EPA and DHA-fatty acids from fish oil.By taking a high concentration of 2 to 4 capsules daily, a blood lipid-lowering effect can be achieved.The exact dosage can be agreed individually with your doctor.

ZODIN® Omega-3 1000 mg soft capsules contains the active ingredients Omega-3 acid ethyl ester 90. One soft capsule contains 1000 mg Omega-3 acid ethyl ester 90 with a content of 460 mg icosapent ethyl and 380 mg doconexent ethyl.These substances are also known as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and contain 4 mg of d-α-tocopherol mixed with a vegetable oil such as soybean oil as an antioxidant.The soft capsule shell is made from gelatin, glycerol and purified water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

The usual daily dose recommended by your doctor is 2 capsules.If the effect is insufficient, your doctor may increase the dose to 4 capsules per day.Please note the package leaflet.

Intake

Swallow the capsules with a glass of water.Take the capsules with meals to avoid unwanted gastrointestinal effects.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are about to have or have recently had surgery, if you have recently suffered an injury, if you have problems with your kidneys or liver, if you have diabetes that is not optimally controlled, or if you are allergic to fish.The preparation should not be taken by children.If you are over 70 years old, caution is required when taking it.This medicine is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use tools or machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.You must not take this medicine during pregnancy or breast-feeding unless your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.

Notes

ZODIN® contains soybean oil.It should not be taken if you are hypersensitive to peanut or soy.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
