The Veroval ECG and blood pressure monitor is a practical combination device that helps you keep an eye on your health.It is particularly suitable for stroke prevention because it can detect atrial fibrillation and extrasystoles, which can be early signs of circulatory disorders and inflammation of the heart muscle.With the fully automatic blood pressure and pulse measurement function on the upper arm, you can check your values regularly.The mobile EKG-function allows you to record your heart rhythm anytime and anywhere as soon as you feel symptoms such as heart palpitations, shortness of breath or chest pain.

The device offers high measurement quality, which has been confirmed by the quality seal of the European Society for Hypertension (ESH) and the German Hypertension League (DHL).It features Comfort Air technology and a universal size cuff (22-42 cm) with an ergonomic fit for comfortable measuring.The scope of delivery includes a USB-Bluetooth® adapter, a storage bag, four 1.5 V batteries AAA and 128 memory slots (64 memory slots each for 2 users).

Application

The Veroval ECG and blood pressure monitor is a single-channel ECG that was specifically designed for measuring blood pressure on the human upper arm or for EKG-recording.It should only be used according to the methods described in the instruction manual.The cuff must not be placed on other parts of the body and only the supplied or original replacement cuff should be used to avoid incorrect readings.

The device is suitable for people with an upper arm circumference that corresponds to the specified circumference range.At an ambient temperature of 40°C, both the cuff and the EKG-electrodes can reach a temperature of 42°C.In case of doubtful measurements, the measurement should be repeated.The device should never be left unattended near small children or people who cannot operate it alone, as this may pose a risk of strangulation or suffocation.

ECG or blood pressure measurements should not be performed on newborns, babies and young children.The cuff should not be placed over a wound or on anyone who has had a mastectomy.The pressure buildup of the cuff can cause temporary interference with medical devices used simultaneously on the same arm.The device should not be used in conjunction with a high-frequency surgical device.

If an intravenous treatment or venous access is being performed on the arm, the cuff should not be used on that arm as this may result in injury.Functional impairment of the affected arm may occur during inflation.Too frequent measurements within a short period of time and sustained cuff pressure can disrupt blood circulation and cause injury.If the device malfunctions, the cuff should be removed from the arm.

The device is not waterproof and is made of high quality precision electronic parts.The accuracy of the measured values and the service life of the device depend on careful handling.The cuff and air hose should not be excessively bent or kinked.The device may not be opened, modified, disassembled or repaired yourself.Repairs may only be carried out by authorized specialists.

The cuff should never be inflated if it is not properly placed on the upper arm.The device should only be used with the approved upper arm cuff.The cuff hose may only be removed from the device by pulling on the corresponding connector.The device should not be used on people with sensitive, irritated or injured skin or allergies.It is not approved for use on children weighing less than 10 kg.

The electrodes of the device must not come into contact with other electrically conductive parts.The device should not be exposed to static electricity or used near strong electromagnetic fields.Portable and mobile radio frequency and communication devices such as telephones and cell phones may affect the functionality of this electronic medical device.

Cleaning and storage

The device should only be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.Thinners, alcohol, cleaning agents or solvents should not be used.If the electrode surfaces of the device are dirty, they can be cleaned with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. The cuff can be carefully cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and mild soapy water.It must not be completely submerged in water.

It is recommended, especially when used by multiple users, to clean and disinfect the cuff regularly or after each use to avoid infection.Disinfection, especially the inside of the cuff, should be carried out by wiping.Use a disinfectant that is compatible with the cuff materials.To protect against external influences, the device and cuff should be stored in the storage bag together with the instructions.

The device should be stored and transported at a temperature of -20°C to 55°C and a humidity of 10% to 85%.It should be protected from strong shock, shock or vibration and should not be dropped on the floor.The device should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust or direct sunlight as this may cause malfunction.Packaging, batteries and device should be kept out of the reach of children.
