Veroval® upper arm blood pressure monitor
For precise and gentle measurements on the upper arm
The Veroval® upper arm blood pressure monitor offers fully automatic blood pressure and pulse measurement on the upper arm.The Comfort Air technology ensures comfortable measuring. The first measurement involves inflating to 190 mmHg.For subsequent measurements, the inflation pressure is adjusted individually based on the previously measured blood pressure values. This enables a more comfortable measurement on the upper arm.
All measurement results can be saved and analyzed quickly and easily using the Veroval® medi.connect software. The results can also be printed out for the doctor or sent by email.
No prescription is required for this product.
Area of application
The Veroval® upper arm blood pressure monitor is used for fully automatic blood pressure and pulse measurement on the upper arm for an upper arm circumference of 22-42 cm.The Comfort Air technology offers a pleasant measurement. The first measurement involves inflation to 190 mmHg.During subsequent measurements, the inflation pressure adjusts individually based on the previously measured blood pressure values. This allows for a more comfortable measurement on the upper arm.All measurement results can be saved and analyzed quickly and easily using the Veroval® medi.connect software. Results can also be printed out for the doctor or sent by email.
Application
Putting on the cuff
Before putting on the cuff, insert the cuff connector into the cuff socket on the left side of the device.Do not mechanically constrict, compress or kink the cuff tube. The measurement must be carried out on the bare upper arm.If your cuff is completely open, pass the end of the cuff through the metal bracket to create a loop. The cuff should be placed on the upper arm so that the lower edge is 2-3 cm above the elbow and above the artery. The tube points towards the center of the palm.
Now bend your arm slightly, grab the free end of the cuff, guide it tightly underneath your arm and close the Velcro fastener.
Carrying out the measurement
Rest for about 5 minutes before measuring. The measurement should be carried out in a quiet place, in a relaxed and comfortable sitting position. The measurement can be carried out on the right or left arm.We recommend taking the measurement on the left upper arm.In the long term, measurements should be taken on the arm that shows the higher results. However, if there is a very clear difference between the values of the arms, check with your doctor which upper arm you are using for the measurement.
Always measure on the same arm and place the forearm relaxed on a surface.
Measurement of blood pressure
Many factors play a role when measuring blood pressure. These ten general rules will help you carry out the measurement correctly.
Rest for about 5 minutes before measuring.Even desk work increases blood pressure by an average of around 6 mmHg systolic and 5 mmHg diastolic.
Do not consume nicotine or coffee up to an hour before the measurement.
Do not measure when you have a strong urge to urinate.A full bladder can lead to an increase in blood pressure of around 10 mmHg.
Measure on the completely bare upper arm and in an upright, comfortable position while sitting.Blood circulation must not be impaired by, for example, rolled-up sleeves.
When using a wrist measuring device, please keep the cuff at heart level during measurement. With an upper arm measuring device, the cuff on the arm is automatically at the correct height.
Do not speak or move during the measurement.Talking increases the values by approx. 6-7 mmHg.
Wait at least one minute between two measurements so that the pressure in the vessels is relieved for a new measurement.
Always document measurement values with the date and time as well as the medication taken, conveniently and easily with Veroval® medi.connect.
Measure regularly.Even if your values have improved, you should continue to check them yourself.
Always measure at the same time.Since people have around 100,000 different blood pressure values every day, individual measurements have no meaning.Only regular measurements at the same times of the day over a longer period of time enable a meaningful assessment of blood pressure values.
What is the goal of the treatment?
The recommended initial treatment goal is to reduce blood pressure to below 140/90 mmHg for all patients and, if therapy is well tolerated, blood pressure values of 130/80 mmHg or lower should be aimed for in most patients receiving treatment. In patients under 65 years of age, it is recommended to reduce systolic blood pressure to 120-129 mmHg in most cases. For older patients (65 years and older), it is recommended to aim for a systolic blood pressure in the range of 130-139 mmHg.
Can I do something myself to lower my blood pressure?
You can do a whole lot of little things that have a big impact.Completely without medication. So change your lifestyle habits. The German High Pressure League has drawn up ten simple basic rules for you.
Measure blood pressure regularly
Follow the doctor's recommendations
Aim for normal weight
Limit alcohol consumption
Reduce table salt and replace with spices
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
Use vegetable fats and high-quality oils
Stop smoking
Ensure regular physical exercise
Provide for breaks and relaxation
Veroval® medi.connect
The medi.connect software - for data transfer and management of your vital signs
The exact recording of vital signs such as:B. Blood pressure or weight is very easy with the Veroval® measuring devices. But how can these values be easily stored, analyzed, compared with each other or shared with the doctor? The free Veroval® medi.connect software, which can be downloaded to your computer, provides you with a solution to every question with its diverse functions.
The measured data can be easily saved. The values can also be analyzed and shared with the doctor via email or PDF-printout.Another advantage is that the values can be linked to the data from other Veroval® devices, enabling a comprehensive health analysis that can support the doctor in his therapy recommendations.
Communication with doctors
The new generation of measuring devices now enables detailed analysis options that provide the treating doctor with precise and reliable information about the development of his patient's vital signs and can sustainably support medical diagnosis and therapy. The data transfer takes place via PDF or email.

Do not use the cuff on anyone who has had a mastectomy.
Please note that cuff pressure buildup may cause temporary interference with medical devices being used on the same arm at the same time.
Do not use the blood pressure monitor in conjunction with a high-frequency surgical device.
If intravenous treatment is present or there is a venous access in the arm, a blood pressure measurement may result in injury. Please never use the cuff on the arm to which these conditions apply.
Functional impairment of the affected arm may occur during inflation. If you are taking the measurement on another person, please ensure that the use of the blood pressure monitor does not lead to lasting impairment of blood circulation.
Too frequent measurements within a short period of time and sustained cuff pressure can disrupt blood circulation and cause injury. Please leave a pause between measurements and do not kink the air hose.If the device malfunctions, remove the cuff from the arm.
Do not use the blood pressure monitor on preeclampsia patients during pregnancy.
This blood pressure monitor is not waterproof!
This blood pressure monitor is made of high quality precision electronic parts. The accuracy of the measured values and service life of the device depend on careful handling.Do not excessively bend or kink the cuff and air hose.
