Areas of application

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is a spot-on solution for dogs that is used to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations.The product also has a repellent effect against sand flies, biting flies and mosquitoes to prevent these insects from absorbing blood.

Fleas: The product treats and prevents infestations by fleas of the species Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis.One application protects the dog from new flea infestations for four weeks.For flea allergy dermatitis, FRONTLINE Tri-Act may be used as part of a treatment strategy if previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Ticks: The product treats and prevents infestation by ticks of the species Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.It kills ticks and has a tick-repellent effect for four weeks after application.The repellent effectiveness against Dermacentor reticulatus begins on the seventh day after treatment and lasts up to four weeks.

Biting and sand flies: FRONTLINE Tri-Act has a repellent effect against sand flies of the species Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks and against mosquitoes of the species Culex pipiens and Aedes albopictus for four weeks.It kills sand flies and mosquitoes for three weeks and reduces the risk of Leishmania infantum infection from sand flies for up to four weeks.

Biting flies: The product repels and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.

Dosage and application

The solution is dripped directly onto the dog's skin.The pipette size depends on the weight of the dog.For dogs weighing over 60 kg, two pipettes of the appropriate size should be used.

It is applied to two places on the dog's neck that cannot be reached by the animal in order to prevent licking.The first location is at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades, the second is in the middle of the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades.

The pipette is held upright and the tip is cut off with scissors.The dog's fur is parted until the skin is visible.Half of the pipette contents are applied to the first point, the other half to the second point.

Special instructions for use

The product is not suitable if dogs and cats live in the household at the same time.Application should be based on confirmed infestation or risk of infestation with fleas and/or ticks.Depending on the infestation pressure, repeated treatment may be necessary, with the interval between two treatments being at least four weeks.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.It must be stored in the original container and must not be used after the expiry date stated on the box.

The solution for spotting on the skin is clear and colorless to yellowish-brown.The active ingredients and other ingredients depend on the pipette size and include fipronil, permethrin and butylhydroxytoluene (E321).

FRONTLINE Tri-Act reduces the risk of diseases transmitted by parasites such as leishmaniasis, Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis.It is used by dripping the pre-dosed pipette onto the dog's skin.The active ingredient spreads over the entire surface of the dog's body within one to two days and acts like an invisible protective coat against parasites.

For complete protection, FRONTLINE Tri-Act should be used regularly every four weeks.The product is specifically designed for dogs and must not be used on cats or rabbits.
