Areas of application

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is a spot-on solution for dogs' skin.It is used to treat and prevent flea and tick infestations.In addition, it has a repellent effect against sand flies, biting flies and mosquitoes to prevent these insects from absorbing blood.

Fleas

The solution treats and prevents infestations by fleas of the species Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis.One application protects the dog from a new flea infestation for four weeks. FRONTLINE Tri-Act can also be used as part of a therapy for flea allergy dermatitis if previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Ticks

The solution treats and prevents infestations by ticks of the species Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.It kills ticks and has a repellent effect against Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus for four weeks after application.The repellent effect against Dermacentor reticulatus begins on the seventh day after application and lasts up to four weeks.

Biting flies and sand flies

FRONTLINE Tri-Act has a repellent effect against sand flies of the species Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks and against mosquitoes of the species Culex pipiens and Aedes albopictus for four weeks.It kills sand flies and mosquitoes for three weeks.This reduces the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum by sand flies for up to four weeks.

Biting flies

The solution repels and kills the common biting fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.

Dosage and application

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is applied to the dog's skin.The pipette size depends on the weight of the dog.For dogs over 60 kg, two pipettes of the appropriate size should be used.

The solution should be applied to two areas on the neck that the dog cannot lick off.To do this, the fur is parted until the skin is visible.The pipette is placed on the skin and the contents are distributed evenly on both sites.

Special storage instructions

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and not stored above 25°C.It should be stored in the original container and should not be used after the expiry date stated on the box.

Active ingredients and other ingredients

The solution contains the active ingredients fipronil and permethrin as well as the other ingredient butylhydroxytoluene (E321).The exact amounts of active ingredients and other ingredients depend on the pipette size.

Product features

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is a clear, colorless to yellowish-brown solution to be applied to the skin.It reliably protects dogs from parasites such as ticks, fleas and flying insects such as mosquitoes and biting flies.The effect lasts up to a month and can be used on puppies from eight weeks of age and 2 kg body weight.

FRONTLINE Tri-Act is waterproof and prevents new parasite infestations.It reduces the risk of diseases transmitted by parasites such as leishmaniasis, Ehrlichiosis and Babesiosis.

Application

The pre-dosed pipette is removed from the packaging and the tip is cut off with scissors.The dog's fur is parted in two places on the neck and the pipette is emptied in half, first in the first place and then in the second place directly on the skin.The active ingredient is distributed over the entire surface of the dog's body within one to two days with the skin's natural sebum film and acts like an outer, invisible protective coat against parasites.

To ensure complete, optimal protection, FRONTLINE Tri-Act should be used regularly every four weeks.
