Linola sept skin cream with clioquinol is an antiseptic cream for the treatment of infected skin diseases. The cream contains the active ingredient clioquinol and is applied thinly to the diseased skin areas twice a day. After the cream has been lightly worked in, the affected area can be covered with a bandage. The duration of application depends on the instructions of the doctor or pharmacist. It is not suitable for use in cases of hypersensitivity to clioquinol or any of the other ingredients, allergy to iodine, otitis media or thyroid disorders. It must also not be used on the conjunctiva of the eyes. Possible side effects are hypersensitivity and a change in hair colour. The medicine may be used for one year after opening and should be kept out of reach of children.
