Rökan 120 mg Film-Coated Tablets is a medicine for the treatment of mental performance deficits caused by brain disorders. It contains an extract from ginkgo leaves and is used to relieve memory problems, concentration disorders, dejection, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches. The recommended dosage for adults is one tablet twice a day, regardless of meals. The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks and after 3 months the doctor should check if further treatment is needed. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache and dizziness. The medicine should not be used by people under 18 years of age, pregnant or breastfeeding women. The use of the medicine should be indicated before surgery, as it may result in a prolonged bleeding time. People with hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the medicine should not take it. It should also be used with caution if there is an increased tendency to bleed or epilepsy. In the event of an overdose, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and allergic skin reactions may occur.
