Vliwasorb^® sensitive

Vliwasorb^® sensitive is a superabsorbent wound dressing with a silicone layer that was specially developed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds.This bandage is characterized by its high absorption capacity and high retention capacity, even under compression.This protects the wound and the surrounding skin from maceration and promotes an optimal, moist wound environment, which contributes to faster wound closure.Binding the exudate in the dressing reduces the number of bacteria removed during dressing changes.The soft, self-adhesive silicone layer ensures a comfortable and easy application process.The bandage also offers stable shape retention, even when used vertically, and protects clothing and bed linen from getting wet through a protective layer.

Product composition

The Vliwasorb^® sensitive consists of silicone, non-woven fabric, polyacrylate and cellulose.

Areas of application

This wound dressing is suitable for moderate to heavily exuding wounds including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and dehiscent post-operative wounds.

Properties

The most important properties of Vliwasorb^® sensitive include atraumatic and painless removal, protection of the wound and the wound surroundings, the high absorption and retention capacity even under compression, the reduced number of bacteria by binding the exudate in the superabsorbent and the stable shape retention, even when used vertically.

The Vliwasorb^® sensitive is available in various sizes, including 7.5 x 7.5 cm with a wound cushion of 5 x 5 cm, 12.5 x 12.5 cm with a wound cushion of 10 x 10 cm, 10 x 20 cm with a wound cushion of 7.5 x 17 cm, 15 x 25 cm with a wound cushion of 12 x22 cm, 20 x 20 cm with a wound pad of 17 x 17 cm and 20 x 30 cm with a wound pad of 17 x 27 cm.
