Area of application

Sogoon® film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine that is used as supportive therapy for signs of wear and tear of the musculoskeletal system.The tablets contain devil's claw root dry extract as the active ingredient and are intended for adults.They have an anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and decongestant effect, which is particularly helpful for joint pain caused by osteoarthritis.Commonly affected joints are the knees, hips and spine.

The active ingredient in Sogoon® film-coated tablets is devil's claw root dry extract.Each film-coated tablet contains 480 mg of this extract, prepared in a drug to extract ratio of 4.4 - 5.0: 1, using ethanol 60% (v/v) as the extractant.The other ingredients include corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.), hypromellose, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide (E171) and iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E172).

Contraindications

Sogoon® film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to devil's claw root dry extract or any of the other ingredients.The medicine should also not be used for stomach and duodenal ulcers.Care should be taken with gallstones.It is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day, morning and evening.The tablets should be taken with meals with plenty of liquid.It is not intended for use in children and adolescents.No prescription is required for this product.

Intake

The film-coated tablets should be taken morning and evening with meals with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.The intake should be continued until symptoms are resolved.If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Patient information

Particular caution is required with gallstones.There is no evidence available for children, so the medicine should not be used in children under 18 years of age.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive and use machines.The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.So far, there have been no indications of risks during pregnancy and breastfeeding from its use.Since there is a lack of sufficient safety data, the use of Sogoon® film-coated tablets is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
