Kneipp Valerian 500 mg is a herbal medicine that is used to calm restlessness and nervous-related problems falling asleep.It is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

States of unrest can arise from various factors such as stress, conflict situations, lack of time, noise and pressure to succeed.Kneipp Valerian 500 mg helps to maintain calm and to better cope with the diverse tasks of daily life.The ingredients of valerian have an anti-anxiety, calming and sleep-inducing effect.They come from the valerian plant, a perennial with pinnate leaves and a strong-smelling root that is found in Europe and Asia.The main ingredients are iridoids (valepotriates) and essential oil (bornyl acetate).The plant parts used are mainly extracts and tinctures of the dried root.

1 coated tablet of Kneipp Valerian 500 mg contains 500 mg of valerian root powder.The other ingredients are magnesium stearate (vegetable), highly disperse silicon dioxide, crospovidone (type A), shellac, talc, spray-dried Arabic gum and long-chain partial glycerides.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.The medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age.It is also not recommended to be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless expressly prescribed by the doctor.

Dosage

The usual dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, is 4 coated tablets up to 3 times a day for restlessness.If you have nervousness-related problems falling asleep, 4-6 coated tablets can be taken 1/2 to 1 hour before going to bed.If necessary, an additional 4 coated tablets can be taken earlier in the evening.The coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of drinking water.Do not take coated tablets while lying down.

Notes

The ability to react can also be impaired when used as intended, especially in higher doses or in combination with alcohol.Pay particular attention when driving or operating machines.The medicine must be kept protected from heat and must not be stored above 30 °C.Store drug out of reach of children.The medicine may no longer be used after the expiry date stated on the outer carton or container.
