Transpulmin cold balm is a cream for external use and inhalation for colds of the respiratory tract.The cream contains the active ingredients cineole, levomenthol and racemic camphor.These active ingredients promote blood circulation, loosen mucus and make breathing easier.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Transpulmin cold balm is used to improve the condition of colds affecting the respiratory tract.These include uncomplicated runny nose, hoarseness and uncomplicated bronchial catarrh.The cream can be rubbed on the chest and back or used for inhalation.

Dosage and application

Adults and children aged 2 and over can rub the cream on their chest and back 2-4 times a day.For inhalation, a sufficient amount of the cream is poured with hot water and the vapors are inhaled.It should not be used for longer than 3-5 days without medical advice.

Contraindications

Transpulmin cold balm must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or other ingredients, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, pseudocroup and other respiratory diseases with hypersensitivity of the airways.Also for skin and childhood diseases with rash, damaged skin, infants and small children under 2 years of age, children under 6 years of age for inhalation and in children with an increased risk of seizures.The product should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Possible side effects include allergic reactions of the skin and respiratory tract, irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, irritation of the cough and narrowing of the respiratory tract.If used over a large area, symptoms of poisoning such as damage to the central nervous system and kidney damage can occur.If accidentally swallowed, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms may occur.

Composition

1 g of cream contains 100 mg cineole, 50 mg levomenthol and 25 mg racemic camphor.Other ingredients include preservatives (parabens), emulsifying glycerol monostearates, decyl oleate, yellow petroleum jelly, sodium edetate, chamomile aroma, highly disperse silicon dioxide and purified water.

Storage

Transpulmin cold balm should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25°C and used within 12 months of opening.The product must be kept out of the reach of children.
