Thrombareduct Sandoz is a gel that contains the active ingredient heparin sodium.It is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises and bruises, as well as for superficial phlebitis, if this cannot be treated with compression.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel is used to reduce swelling, bruising, bruises and to relieve strains and sprains.It helps with painful swelling after injuries and promotes the rapid resolution of bruises under the skin.It can also be used for superficial phlebitis when compression therapy is not possible.

Mode of action

The active ingredient heparin sodium in Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel has blood-thinning and anticoagulant properties.It supports the breakdown of blood clots and promotes the removal of metabolic products that escape into the tissue in the event of blunt injuries.This reduces swelling, reduces bruising more quickly and relieves inflammation.

Composition

Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel contains the active ingredient heparin sodium (porcine) in a concentration of 0.4 g per 100 g gel, equivalent to 60,000 IU. The other ingredients include pine needle oil, mountain pine oil, levomenthol, sodium edetate, trolamine, polyacrylic acid, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol mono/dialkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80,2-propanol, sorbitol solution 70% and purified water.

Contraindications

Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel must not be used if you are allergic to heparin, limonene or any of the other ingredients.The gel should also not be used if there is an acute or known allergic drop in the blood platelet count (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.In addition, it is not suitable for use on open wounds.

Dosage and application

Apply the gel thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.After use, wash your hands thoroughly with soap.The duration of use should not be longer than 10 days unless your doctor tells you otherwise.Avoid contact with mucous membranes, open wounds and inflamed skin areas.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include allergic reactions such as skin redness and itching, which usually disappear quickly after stopping the gel.Limonene can also cause allergic reactions.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep the gel out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the packaging.After opening, the gel has a shelf life of 1 year and should be stored at room temperature.Do not dispose of medicines via wastewater, but take them to the pharmacy for disposal.

Notes
