Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU Gel is a medicine for the supportive treatment of acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises and bruises.It is also used for superficial phlebitis if it cannot be treated with compression.The gel is intended for external use on the skin and has a pleasantly cooling effect.

Mode of action

The active ingredient heparin sodium in Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU gel has blood-thinning and anticoagulant properties.It supports the breakdown of blood clots and promotes the removal of metabolic products that have leaked into the muscle tissue during blunt injuries.This reduces swelling, eliminates bruising more quickly and reduces inflammation.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU gel contains the active ingredient heparin sodium (porcine).100 g of gel contains 0.4 g of heparin sodium, equivalent to 60,000 IU. The other ingredients are pine needle oil, mountain pine oil (contains limonene), levomenthol, sodium edetate, trolamine, polyacrylic acid, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol mono/dialkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80, 2-propanol, sorbitol solution70% and purified water.

Contraindications

Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU Gel must not be used if you are allergic to heparin, limonene or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used on open wounds or for hemophilia (bleeding disease).

Dosage and application

Always use Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU Gel exactly as described in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor.Apply the gel thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.After use, wash your hands thoroughly with soap.The duration of use is determined by the doctor and should not be longer than 10 days.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when applying the medicine to mucous membranes, open wounds or weeping eczema.Thrombareduct Sandoz 60,000 IU Gel is not intended to be taken orally and should not come into contact with the eyes.Keep the medicine out of the reach of small children and store it at room temperature after opening.The gel has a shelf life of 1 year after opening.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Previous experience with use in pregnant and breastfeeding women has shown no evidence of harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use.
