Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel is a topical medicine used to support the treatment of acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises and bruises.It can also be used for superficial phlebitis if it cannot be treated with compression.The active ingredient heparin sodium has blood-thinning and anticoagulant properties that support the breakdown of blood clots and promote the removal of metabolic products.This leads to a reduction in swelling, faster resolution of bruises and relief of inflammation.

Mode of action
The active ingredient heparin sodium in Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel has blood-thinning and anticoagulant properties.It supports the breakdown of blood clots and promotes the removal of metabolic products that escape into the tissue in the event of blunt injuries.This reduces swelling, eliminates bruising more quickly and relieves inflammation.
Ingredients
Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel contains the following ingredients:
Active ingredient: Heparin sodium (porcine) - 100 g gel contains 1.3 g heparin sodium corresponding to 180,000 IU.
Other ingredients: pine needle oil, mountain pine oil (contains limonene), levomenthol, sodium edetate, trolamine, polyacrylic acid, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol mono/dialkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80, 2-propanol, sorbitol solution 70%, purified water.
Contraindications
Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel must not be used in:
Allergy to heparin, limonene or any of the other ingredients.
acute or known allergic drop in blood platelet count (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.
Hemophilia (bleeding disease).
open wounds or inflamed areas of skin.
Dosage and application
Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily.Hands should be washed thoroughly with soap after use.The duration of use should not be longer than 10 days unless the doctor decides otherwise.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include allergic reactions such as redness of the skin and itching, as well as an increased tendency to bleeding at very high local doses.Limonene can also cause allergic reactions.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Previous experience with use in pregnant and breastfeeding women has shown no evidence of harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.However, at very high local doses of more than 160,000 IU, an increased tendency to bleeding may occur.
Storage
Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel should be kept out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the container.After opening, the gel has a shelf life of 1 year and should be stored at room temperature.
Notes
Thrombareduct Sandoz Gel contains alcohol and must not be applied to mucous membranes, open wounds or inflamed areas of skin.It should also not come into contact with the eyes as it may cause a burning sensation.If drugs that interfere with blood clotting are used at the same time, an increased risk of bleeding cannot be ruled out.
