What Sab simplex Suspension is and what it is used for?
Sab simplex oral suspension is a treatment for gastrointestinal disorders caused by gas formation.The active ingredient simeticone is a defoamer that can dissolve excessive air and gas accumulations in the gastrointestinal tract.
Areas of application of Sab simplex suspension are:
The symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence and a feeling of fullness.The preparation of examinations in the abdominal area, such as X-rays and ultrasound examinations as well as the preparation of gastrointestinal examinations.The treatment of increased gas formation after operations.The treatment of dishwashing liquid poisoning.
How is Sab simplex Suspension used?
Always take Sab simplex suspension exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The bottle should be shaken well before use.To drip, hold the bottle vertically downwards and lightly tap the bottom of the bottle with your finger.The drip rate can be reduced by tilting the bottle.
The usual dose for gas-related gastrointestinal problems is:
Newborns and infants (up to 6 years): 4 to 6 times daily, 10 drops (0.4 ml) for newborns and 15 drops (0.6 ml) for infants.Children over 12 months to 6 years: 23 times daily, 15 drops (0.6 ml).Children over 6 years and adults: 4 to 6 times daily, 20 to 30 drops (0.8 to 1.2 ml) for children and 30 to 45 drops (1.2 to 1.8 ml) for adults.
Sab simplex suspension can be taken with or after meals, or before going to bed if necessary.For the preparation of examinations and in the event of dishwashing liquid poisoning, specific dosage instructions apply, which are described in the package insert.
What Sab simplex Suspension contains
The active ingredient is Simeticon (Dimeticon 350 - silicon dioxide in a ratio of 92.5: 7.5).1 ml (approx. 25 drops) oral suspension contains 69.19 mg simeticone.
The other ingredients are: Carbomer 974, citric acid monohydrate, hypromellose, anhydrous sodium citrate, sodium benzoate (E 211), sodium cyclamate, macrogol stearyl ether (Ph. Eur.), saccharin sodium, sorbic acid (Ph. Eur.), raspberry flavor 60373 H&R (contains ethanol), vanilla flavor200817, purified water.
How to store Sab simplex Suspension?
Keep Sab simplex Suspension out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and label.Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacy how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.
