This cream contains hydrocortisone, an active ingredient from the group of adrenal cortex hormones that can be used to treat inflammatory and allergic skin diseases.It is used for minor skin inflammations, such as those that can occur with allergic skin diseases.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The cream contains 2.5 mg of hydrocortisone per gram as the active ingredient.The excipients include potassium sorbate, glycerol (mono/di/tri)alkanoate (C12-C18), cetyl alcohol, white petrolatum, glycerol 85%, glycerol monostearate, propylene glycol, glycerol mono/di(palmitate/stearate), sodium stearate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, butylhydroxytoluene, palmitoyl ascorbic acid andpurified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, viral skin infections such as chickenpox or herpes infections, bacterial skin infections such as skin tuberculosis or syphilis, fungal skin infections, skin reactions occurring after vaccination, perioral dermatitis, rosacea, and in children under 6 years of age without medical advice.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use.

Dosage and application

Children aged 6 and over and adults should apply a sufficient amount of the cream to the affected skin areas 2-3 times a day.After the clinical picture has improved, the application can be reduced to once a day or every 2-3 days.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.The cream should not be used for longer than 4 weeks without medical advice.Long-term use can cause side effects such as steroid acne, dilatation of small skin vessels, skin color changes and skin thinning.

Side effects have so far only occurred in exceptional cases.If you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist.

The active ingredient hydrocortisone is a substance related to cortisone that is produced by the body itself.In the event of injuries or inflammation, it reduces the body's own defense mechanisms, especially if these are excessive, such as in the case of allergies.It has an anti-inflammatory effect and eliminates itching, redness, swelling and pustules on the skin.

Important notes

No prescription is required for this product.Caution is advised in the case of corticoid allergy, allergy to ascorbic acid, as well as when using antioxidants, emulsifiers, solvents and preservatives that can cause skin irritation.The medicine must be stored away from heat and may only be used for a maximum of 6 months after opening.
