ADAPTIC non-adherent wound dressing is a primary dressing made of woven cellulose.This cellulose is impregnated with a special petroleum jelly emulsion, which makes the bandage particularly gentle on the wound.The dimensions of the bandage are 7.6 x 7.6 cm.

Mode of action

The ADAPTIC non-adherent wound dressing features a unique cellulose acetate grid that protects the newly formed tissue during dressing changes.This minimizes tissue trauma and reduces the risk of adhesions and maceration.The pore size of the dressing allows exudate to flow freely into the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of exudate accumulation and maceration in the wound.In addition, the pore size reduces the risk of sticking to the wound, both of the ADAPTIC non-adhesive wound dressing and the secondary dressing.

Indications

The ADAPTIC non-adherent wound dressing can be used on a variety of wound types, from dry to heavily exuding wounds.These include first and second degree burns, lacerations and abrasions, transplants, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, nail extractions, eczema, punches and sutures, and wounds following surgical and reconstructive procedures.
