ACONIT Ear drops

Area of application

Aconite ear drops are an anthroposophical medicine used for ear infections.The areas of application arise from the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.This includes the stimulation of the heat organism and the integration of metabolic processes in painful inflammatory diseases that originate from the nervous-sensory system.Examples of this are inflammation of the outer ear (otitis externa) and middle ear inflammation (otitis media).

10 g (11 ml) Aconite ear drops contain the following active ingredients: 1.0 g Aconitum napellus e tubere ferm 33c Dil.D9 oleos.(HAB, vs. 33c and 12j, in refined peanut oil), 0.1 g D-camphor, 0.1 g Lavandulae aetheroleum and 1.0 g quartz Dil.D9 oleos.(HAB, vs. 8a and 12j, in refined peanut oil).The other ingredient is refined peanut oil.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if the eardrum is open (perforated) or if you are hypersensitive to camphor.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, you should instill 1 drop of body-warm oil into the ear 3 to 5 times a day.In acute situations, treatment may be necessary for up to a week.Longer treatment should only be carried out after consulting a doctor.

Patient information

In rare cases, peanut oil can cause localized skin reactions, such as contact dermatitis.If you have severe inflammation of the middle ear, you should only use the medicine after consulting a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, you must consult a doctor.

Pregnancy

Like all medicines, Aconite ear drops should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Keep Aconite ear drops out of the reach of children.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.Once opened, the ear drops have a shelf life of 12 weeks.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and carton.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
