Area of application

The preparation is a medicine to reduce swelling.It is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises or bruises.

The active ingredient is 30000 IE heparin, sodium salt (porcine).The excipients include allantoin, carbomer 980, lemon oil, dexpanthenol, disodium edetate 2-water, isopropyl alcohol, pine needle oil, levomenthol, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol (mono/di)alkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80, sorbitol solution 70%, non-crystallizing, trometamol and purified water.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to heparin, limonene or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.The medicine must also not be used if there is an acute or a history of allergic fall in the number of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist.Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: The medicine should be applied thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.The doctor decides on the duration of use.The medicine must not be used for longer than 10 days.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.If new symptoms appear that may indicate a thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, such as swelling and a feeling of warmth in the affected part of the body, red and tense skin, possibly blue discoloration, a feeling of tension and pain in the foot, calf and back of the knee (relief when elevated), sudden shortness of breath, chest pain and weakness/collapse, the presence of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia type II must be ruled out and the blood platelet count must be checked immediately(platelet count) can be checked.

If drugs that interfere with blood clotting are used at the same time, an increased risk of bleeding cannot be ruled out.Bruising may occur more frequently or increase in extent.During treatment, injections into the muscle should be avoided due to the risk of bruising (hematomas).

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Previous experience with use in pregnant and breastfeeding women has shown no evidence of harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.

Storage
