Area of application

This medicine is used to reduce swelling and is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt injuries such as bruises or bruises.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 30,000 IE heparin sodium salt, which is obtained from pig tissue.The following excipients are also included: allantoin, carbomer 980, lemon oil, dexpanthenol, disodium edetate 2-water, isopropyl alcohol, pine needle oil, levomenthol, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol (mono/di) alkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), trometamol and purifiedwater.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to heparin, limonene or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also not permitted if you have an acute or known allergic drop in blood platelet count (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The usual dose is a thin, even layer on the affected area 2 to 3 times daily.The duration of use should not be longer than 10 days unless your doctor decides otherwise.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Apply the gel thinly and evenly to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.After use, wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.If you experience new symptoms that could indicate a thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, such as swelling, feeling warm, red and tender skin, or sudden shortness of breath, you should see a doctor immediately.If you take medicines that affect blood clotting at the same time, the risk of bleeding may be increased.During treatment, no injections should be given into the muscle to avoid bruising.

The medicine has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Before using this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or planning to have a baby.Experience to date has not shown any harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.
