Instructions for use for Stannum Met. Ointment 0.4%

Stannum metallicum 0.4% ointment is an anthroposophical medicine that is used for inflammatory and degenerative diseases.It serves to stimulate rhythmic balancing processes, in particular to avoid chronic secretions, such as those that can occur when effusions form in body cavities and joints.It is also used for liver diseases with a hardening tendency and as an additional treatment for depressive moods, especially with mental rigidity.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Stannum metallicum 0.4% ointment is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature for inflammatory and degenerative hardening diseases.It helps prevent chronic secretions, for example effusions in body cavities and joints.It is also used for liver diseases with a hardening tendency and as an additional treatment for depressive moods, especially with mental rigidity.

Application instructions

Always use Stannum metallicum 0.4% exactly as your doctor has told you.To use as an ointment cloth, a piece of linen or cotton fabric is thinly coated with the ointment, placed on the corresponding part of the body with the ointment side and attached.The ointment cloth can be used several times.After 3-4 times of use, some ointment should be applied again.The dosage for children aged 4 and over is determined by the attending physician.

The duration of use depends on the course of the disease.If you have known chronic illnesses, you should take a break after 4-6 weeks of use.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.

Side effects and precautions

There are no known side effects.If symptoms persist or are unclear, please consult a doctor.The medicine should not be used without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.Stannum metallicum 0.4% should not be used in children under 4 years of age.It should not be used in children aged 4 and over and adolescents without medical advice.

Ask your doctor for advice before using any medicines during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.Interactions with other medicines are not known.

Composition and storage

10 g of the ointment contains 0.4 g of Stannum metallicum Trit.D1.The ointment base consists of thick paraffin, protegin WX (yellow petroleum jelly, ceresin, hydrogenated castor oil, glycerol monoisostearate, polyglycerol-3-oleate), yellow petroleum jelly and purified water.

The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.Storage conditions: Do not store above 25°C.
