Lavender flower tea is a herbal medicine that is used to calm, treat indigestion and as a bath additive.No prescription is required for this product.It is used internally for health disorders such as restlessness, difficulty falling asleep and functional upper abdominal problems (nervous irritable stomach, Roemheld syndrome, flatulence, nervous intestinal problems).It is used externally in bath therapy to treat functional circulatory disorders.If the symptoms persist for a long time, a doctor should be consulted.

Areas of application

Lavender flower tea is used for nervous restlessness, difficulty falling asleep and gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, irritable stomach and irritable bowel syndrome (supportive treatment) as well as for circulatory disorders.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults can take 0.75-1.5 g (1-2 teaspoons) of lavender flowers 2-3 times a day for restlessness and digestive problems or once a day before going to bed if you have trouble falling asleep.For bath therapy, 10-50 g of lavender flowers are used in 10 l of water or a multiple thereof.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

To prepare the tea, pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 1 to 2 teaspoons of lavender flowers and strain it through a tea strainer after about 10 to 15 minutes.For baths, 10 to 50 g of lavender flowers are used in 10 l of water or a multiple of this.

The duration of use is not limited.Without medical advice, you should only use the medicine for a few days if the symptoms have not improved after this time.There are no known symptoms of overdose.If in doubt, contact your doctor.

Contraindications

Lavender flower tea must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to lavender flowers.Children under 12 years of age should not use the medicine.There are no sufficient studies available during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so tea infusions made from lavender flowers should not be drunk by this group of people.In the case of major skin injuries and acute skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure, full baths should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Mode of action
