Instructions for use of Cardiodoron 0.10% solution for injection

Cardiodoron 0.1% is an anthroposophic medicine used to treat diseases of the cardiovascular system.The areas of application include disorders of vegetative rhythms and their coordination, in particular cardiac arrhythmias, sleep disorders, abnormal sensations in the heart area and irregular circulatory activity with fluctuations in blood pressure.It can also be used for functional heart and circulatory disorders following infectious diseases.

Active ingredients and composition

The solution for injection contains aqueous digestion of Onopordum acanthium with Hyoscyamus niger and aqueous digestion of Primula veris with Hyoscyamus niger. Other ingredients are sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate and water for injections.

Application and dosage

Cardiodoron 0.1% should always be used exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose is 1 ml twice weekly, injected subcutaneously.The injection is usually carried out in the thigh, the outside of the upper arm or the abdominal region.It is recommended that an experienced person learn the injection technique.

Precautions and contraindications

Cardiodoron 0.1% must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to primroses.If you have pain in the heart area that radiates to the arms, upper abdomen or neck area, or if you have shortness of breath, a medical evaluation is required.Cardiac arrhythmias should also be clarified by a doctor.The medicine should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is insufficient experience.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting your doctor.

Side effects

Occasionally, fleeting, harmless irritations may occur around the puncture site.Rarely, allergic skin reactions may occur, which subside spontaneously after discontinuation of the drug.

Storage and shelf life

The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoules and carton.It should not be stored above 25°C.
