Area of application
Kelo-Cote Silicone Gel is a patented, self-drying silicone gel for the prevention and treatment of bulging scars, such as hypertrophic scars and keloids.It is suitable for fresh and old scars, surgical scars, cesarean section scars, aesthetic surgery scars and burn scars.The gel is also suitable for children and for use on sensitive skin.
Mode of action
Kelo-Cote silicone gel flattens bulging scars and makes them more supple.It reduces redness and relieves itching and other discomfort caused by scars.The gel can be used under cosmetics and sun protection.It is transparent, odorless and waterproof.Kelo-Cote works by forming an optimal occlusive film that hydrates scar tissue and inhibits fibroblast proliferation, thereby reducing collagen synthesis.

The ingredients of Kelo-Cote silicone gel are polysiloxane and silicon dioxide.The gel contains bioinert and biocompatible silicone.
Contraindications
If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.
Dosage
Begin treatment as soon as the wound is closed or the stitches are removed.Make sure the affected area is clean and dry.Apply a very thin layer of the gel to the scar twice daily.Massage is not necessary.The gel dries quickly and forms a transparent and waterproof layer.Remove excess gel if it is not completely dry.After drying, sunscreen and cosmetics can be applied.The recommended treatment period is at least 2-3 months for fresh scars; longer use may be necessary for older or more pronounced scars.
Notes
No prescription is required for this product.Kelo-Cote silicone gel can be used in conjunction with pressure bandages or other scar therapies.
