Bepanthen® scar gel

The Bepanthen® Scar Gel helps to make scars flatter, softer and paler.It also relieves itching and is suitable for use on scars that are up to two years old.Children aged three and over can also use the gel.

A scar forms after an operation or a deeper cut that extends to the dermis.This consists of collagen fibers and differs from normal skin in structure and appearance.Scars are often red, hairless, and sometimes raised.The restructuring process can take up to two years, during which those affected often experience itching, redness, pain and feelings of tension.Good scar care is therefore advisable.

The Bepanthen® scar gel contains silicone, which acts as a protective film, and panthenol, which provides moisture.There is also an integrated massage roller that improves the scar structure.Regular use can reduce redness and make the scar flatter and less noticeable.Itching is also relieved.

No prescription is required for this product.The gel should be used for at least two months.Apply it twice a day with your finger, creating a thin film and let it dry for a few minutes.You can use the massage roller at least one month after the wound has closed by gently massaging the scar tissue and then applying the gel.

The ingredients of the Bepanthen® scar gel are silicone and panthenol.Silicone forms a protective film over the scar and prevents it from drying out.Panthenol binds water in the skin and provides additional moisture.Side effects cannot be completely ruled out; further information can be found in the package insert.

You can rub the massage roller with a damp or dry cloth, but you cannot clean it under running water.If skin reactions or pain occur during use, stop use and consult a doctor.Do not use the scar gel if you are allergic to the ingredients.
