Neurapas balance film-coated tablets are a herbal medicine that is used for mild, temporary depressive disorders with nervous restlessness.The product is available without a prescription.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each film-coated tablet contains the following active ingredients: 60 mg dry extract of St. John's wort (extractant: ethanol 38% m/m), 28 mg dry extract of valerian roots (extractant: ethanol 40% m/m) and 32 mg dry extract of passionflower herb (extractant: ethanol 60% m/m).The other ingredients include povidone K 30, lactose monohydrate, glycerol 85%, spray-dried glucose syrup, colloidal silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, talc, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium salt, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Eudragit E), macrogol 6000 and indigo carmine (E 132).

Dosage and application

Adults aged 18 and over take 2 film-coated tablets three times a day without chewing with liquid.It should be taken regardless of meals.The duration of use is not limited, but a doctor should be consulted after 4 to 6 weeks without improvement.

Contraindications

Neurapas balance must not be used while taking certain medicines such as ciclosporin, tacrolimus, proteinase inhibitors, irinotecan, warfarin or if you are known to be allergic to one of the components.The medicine is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Possible side effects include increased skin sensitivity to light, sunburn-like reactions, gastrointestinal complaints, fatigue, restlessness and allergic rashes.If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.

Interactions

Neurapas balance can interact with various medicines, including anti-rejection drugs, HIV-treatments, cytostatics, anticoagulants and other antidepressants.If hormonal contraceptives are used at the same time, their effectiveness may be reduced.

Special Notes

Excessive UV-exposure should be avoided during use of Neurapas balance.If you have impaired liver function, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor.The ability to actively participate in traffic or operate machines may be impaired.

Storage

The medicine should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 30°C and kept out of the reach of children.It must not be used after the expiry date stated on the package.
