The active ingredient in Laif 900 Balance is St. John's wort dry extract.St. John's wort is known for its mood-enhancing and balancing effects.It regulates the number and balance of certain messenger substances in the brain that are disrupted when mood is low.These messenger substances are responsible, among other things, for balance, good mood and sleep regulation.St. John's wort also normalizes the increased release of the stress hormone cortisol during excessive stress.

1 Film-coated tablet of Laif 900 Balance contains 900 mg dry extract of St. John's wort (3-6:1), extractant: ethanol 80% (V/V).The other ingredients are: croscarmellose sodium, highly disperse silicon dioxide, hyprolose (degree of substitution: 3.4 - 4.1), hypromellose, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate (vegetable), microcrystalline cellulose, medium-chain triglycerides, riboflavin, stearic acid, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), pre-gelatinized starch (corn).

Contraindications

Laif 900 Balance should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.It must not be taken at the same time as certain other medicines, such as medicines used to suppress transplant rejection, to treat HIV-infections or AIDS, or to inhibit cell growth.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and older people is 1 film-coated tablet daily after breakfast, swallowed whole with liquid.The duration of application is generally not limited.If there is no improvement after 4 to 6 weeks, a doctor should be consulted.
