Instructions for use of Mercurialis comp.Suppositories

Mercurialis comp.Suppositories are an anthroposophical medicine for the treatment of inflammatory diseases in the anal area.This product is available without a prescription.

Areas of application

Mercurialis comp.Suppositories are used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.These include painful, edematous, acute to chronic inflammatory changes in the anal area.Examples include hemorrhoidal disease, inflammation of the area surrounding the anus (anitis), tears in the skin in the anus area (fissura ani) and inflammation of the connective tissue around the rectum and anus (periproctitis).

Contraindications

To date there are no known contraindications.

Precautions and warnings

If there is blood in the stool or persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult a doctor.There is no adequately documented experience with the use of this medicine in children.It should therefore not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Like all medicines, Mercurialis comp.Suppositories should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other agents.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 suppository should be inserted into the rectum once or twice daily.

Duration of application

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases requires consultation with the doctor.

Side effects

So far there are no known side effects.

Composition

1 Suppository of 2 g contains the following active ingredients: Allium cepa ferm 34a 0 8 mg, Calendula officinalis ex herba ferm 33c 0 (HAB, Vs. 33c) 16 mg, Mercurialis perennis ferm 34c 0 40 mg, Stibium metallicum Trit.D3 20mg.Components 1 to 3 are concentrated to 20 mg.Other ingredients include hard fat and honey.

Dosage form and pack size

The dosage form is suppositories, available in packs of 10 suppositories of 2 g each.

Storage and shelf life

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and the outer packaging.Do not store/keep above 25°C.
