Instructions for use for Sidroga Spitzweg tea

Sidroga ribwort plantain is a herbal medicine intended for internal and external use.The active ingredient of this product is plantain herb.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Sidroga ribwort plantain is used internally for catarrhs of the airways and for inflammatory changes in the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.It can be used externally for inflammatory changes in the skin.

Dosage and application

The use of Sidroga ribwort plantain can be recommended for children aged one year and over.The dosage depends on age:

Adults and children aged 10 and over should drink a cup of the prepared tea infusion 3 to 4 times a day.Children aged 4 and over can drink one cup 1 to 3 times per day, while children aged 1 year and over should be given one cup once per day.

To prepare the tea infusion, pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over a filter bag and let it steep for about 10 to 15 minutes.If the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat are inflamed, the tea can be used for rinsing or gargling.For compresses for skin inflammation, a cold extract is prepared by pouring cold water (approx. 150 ml) over a filter bag and leaving it to stand for 1 to 2 hours while stirring frequently.

It should not be used for longer than 7 days without medical advice if there is no improvement in the symptoms or if the symptoms recur regularly.

Contraindications

Sidroga ribwort plantain must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to ribwort plantain herb.The medicine should not be used in infants under 1 year of age.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies available.
