Areas of application

Candio HERMAL ready-made suspension is used to treat fungal infections caused by yeasts of the genus Candida.These include fungal infections in the oral cavity, also known as thrush, fungal infections of the esophagus and fungal infections in the gastrointestinal area.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredient and composition

The active ingredient in Candio HERMAL ready-to-use suspension is nystatin.Each milliliter of the finished suspension contains 100,000 international units of nystatin.The suspension also contains the following other ingredients: xanthan gum, glycerol 85%, saccharin sodium, xylitol, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (preservative), propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (preservative), macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, flavorings and purified water.

Dosage and instructions for use

Children and adults should take 1 ml of the finished suspension 3-6 times a day, regardless of meals.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.For fungal infections in the oral cavity, the medicine should be dripped onto the oral mucosa and spread there for a few minutes before swallowing.In addition, the affected areas can be rubbed with a cotton swab dipped in the medicine.For fungal infections of the esophagus and gastrointestinal area, the medicine is simply taken.The suspension should be shaken well before use.

The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and the course of the disease.As a rule, the treatment should last about two weeks and should continue for a few days even after the symptoms have disappeared.There are no known symptoms of overdose.If a dose is missed, the dose should be continued as normal at the next prescribed time without doubling the dose.

Contraindications

Candio HERMAL ready-made suspension must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to nystatin, alkyl hydroxybenzoates (parabens) or any of the other ingredients.Premature babies should only use the medicine after consulting a doctor or under medical supervision.According to current knowledge, there is no evidence against using the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effects

In individual cases, allergic reactions such as itching, burning, redness or pustules can occur on the skin.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Important notes

Caution is advised if you are allergic to fungal agents such as amphotericin B or nystatin, to the sweetener saccharin or to parabens.Allergies to Peru balsam and cinnamon should also be taken into account.Solvents can cause stomach upset and diarrhea.The medicine must be stored away from heat and may only be used for a maximum of 6 months after opening.It should be stored at room temperature.
