Softa Man Viscorub is an alcohol-based hand disinfectant that is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.It is available without a prescription.

Product features

Softa Man Viscorub is a solution for use on the skin.It is available without perfume and without dyes and has bactericidal, fungicidal and limited virucidal properties, including against rotaviruses.The solution has a viscous consistency and is the first hand disinfectant with this property on the German market.It is ready to use and is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.The product is VAH-listed and included in the IHO-Virucidia list.It is active against bacteria, including tuberculosis bacteria and MRSA, as well as fungi.It also has limited virucidal activity against HBV, HCV, HIV and is effective against rotary and avian influenza A viruses.The exposure time for avian influenza A viruses is 15 seconds.Softa Man Viscorub is characterized by a safe immediate and long-term effect as well as very good skin compatibility.It is dermatologically tested and free of dyes and perfumes.

Composition

100 ml of the solution contains: Ethanol (100%) 45 g, 1-propanol (Ph. Eur.) 18 g, purified water, butan-2-one, glycerol, isopropyl myristate (Ph. Eur.), (hexadecyl, octadecyl) [(RS)-2-ethylhexanoat], octyldodecanol (Ph. Eur.), Edetol, acrylates (C10-30Alkyl acrylate crosspolymer), (+/-)alpha-bisabolol.

Areas of application

Softa Man Viscorub is used to disinfect hands, both for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adolescents and adults should use 3 ml of hand disinfectant 1-2 times before and/or after contact several times a day.For hygienic hand disinfection, at least 3 ml of the solution should be rubbed into dry hands for 30 seconds and kept moist.If you come into contact with pathogens, the product should be used twice.For surgical hand disinfection, several portions of 2-3 ml should be rubbed into dry hands and forearms for at least 60 seconds and kept moist during the exposure time.The hands should then be allowed to dry.The product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of the eyes or open wounds.If the solution comes into contact with the eyes, the opened eyes should be washed with running water for several minutes.

Contraindications

Softa Man Viscorub should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients.According to current knowledge, there is no evidence against its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effects

Possible side effects may include skin irritation, skin redness, a burning sensation on the skin, dry skin (xeroderma) and contact allergies.If you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

The hand disinfectant may be used for a maximum of 12 months after opening the container and should be stored at room temperature.It is flammable, so the container should be kept tightly closed and away from sources of ignition.Do not smoke and do not bring it into your eyes.The product is intended for external use only and should not be used on injured skin or mucous membranes.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.
