Helixor A 1 mg is an anthroposophic medicine that is used for extended treatment of tumor diseases.It contains an extract of fresh pine mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. abietis) in a ratio of 1:20, prepared with water for injections and sodium chloride.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Helixor A 1 mg is used in adults to stimulate form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate independent growth processes.These include:

• Malignant tumor diseases, also with accompanying disorders of the blood-forming organs

• Benign tumor diseases

• Defined precancerous lesions

• Prevention of relapses after tumor operations

Composition

1 Ampoule of Helixor A 1 mg contains an aqueous extract of fresh pine mistletoe, equivalent to 1 mg of fresh plant.Other ingredients include sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections.

Application

Helixor A 1 mg is used as a subcutaneous injection (syringe under the skin), if possible near the tumor or metastasis or in different areas of the intact skin.The usual dosage is one injection 2-3 times a week.The exact dosage and duration of use is determined by the doctor.

Side effects

Possible side effects include a slight increase in body temperature, localized inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and temporary mild swelling of regional lymph nodes.If there is a fever over 38 °C or major local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and at a reduced strength or dose.

Storage

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoule and box.The ampoules should be kept in the original packaging and stored in the refrigerator.
