Active ingredient and composition

Helixor M is an injection solution that contains an extract of fresh apple tree mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. album) in a ratio of 1:20 as the active ingredient.The solution is prepared with water for injections and sodium chloride.One ampoule corresponds to 10 mg of fresh plant.

Areas of application

Helixor M is used in adults in accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.These include malignant and benign tumor diseases, malignant diseases of the blood-forming organs, defined precancerous lesions and the prevention of relapses after tumor operations.

Application and dosage

Helixor M is injected subcutaneously, if possible in the vicinity of the tumor or metastases, otherwise in different areas of the intact skin.The usual dosage is 2-3 injections per week.Therapy begins with a low dose, which is gradually increased until the optimal individual dose is reached.This dose will then continue to be used in the maintenance phase.

The exact dosage and treatment regimen depend on the stage of the disease and the individual reaction of the patient.Dose adjustment may be necessary during radiation or chemotherapy.

Side effects

Possible side effects include local inflammatory reactions at the injection site, fever, fatigue, chills, headache and dizziness.In case of excessive reactions, the dose should be reduced or use temporarily discontinued.

In rare cases, allergic reactions or activation of pre-existing inflammation may occur.If you have a fever above 38°C that lasts longer than three days, you should see a doctor.

Instructions for use

Helixor M must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to mistletoe preparations, acute inflammatory or high fever diseases, chronic granulomatous diseases, autoimmune diseases with severe symptoms, under immunosuppressive treatment or in cases of hyperthyroidism with palpitations.

Particular caution is required in the case of hypersensitivity to other substances, primary brain and spinal cord tumors or intracranial metastases with a risk of increased intracranial pressure.

Storage

Helixor M should be stored in the refrigerator and in the original packaging to protect the contents from light.The medicine must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date.
