Instructions for use of Helixor P 30 mg

Helixor® P is an anthroposophic medicine that is available as a solution for injection.The active ingredient consists of an extract of fresh pine mistletoe, which is produced in a ratio of 1:20.Water for injections and sodium chloride are used as extractants.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

In accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Helixor® P is used in adults to stimulate form and integration forces to dissolve and reintegrate growth processes that have become independent.This includes malignant and benign tumor diseases, also with accompanying disorders of the blood-forming organs, defined precancerous lesions and the prevention of relapses after tumor operations.

Composition

One ampoule of Helixor® P 30 mg contains the aqueous extract of fresh pine mistletoe, equivalent to 30 mg of fresh plant.In addition, the solution contains sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and water for injections.

Application

Helixor® P is injected subcutaneously, if possible in the vicinity of the tumor or metastases, otherwise in varying locations on the intact skin.The usual dose is 2-3 injections per week.Therapy usually begins with a low dose, which is gradually increased until the optimal individual dose is reached.This is then continued in the maintenance phase, whereby rhythmic applications and breaks are recommended.

Side effects

Possible side effects include a slight increase in body temperature, localized inflammatory reactions around the injection site, and temporary mild swelling of regional lymph nodes.If there is a fever over 38 °C or major local reactions over 5 cm in diameter, the next injection should only be given after these symptoms have subsided and at a reduced strength or dose.Allergic reactions are possible and require discontinuation of the preparation and immediate medical treatment.

Storage

Helixor® P should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.The ampoules must be stored in the original packaging protected from light.Helixor® P 30 mg should not be stored above 30 °C.
