Helixor® is available in different strengths depending on the amount of fresh mistletoe used. The injection solution contains extracts from pine mistletoe, apple tree mistletoe or pine mistletoe in different concentrations. The other ingredients are water for injections, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide.
Application and dosage
Helixor® is injected subcutaneously, if possible in the vicinity of the tumor or metastases, otherwise in different locations of the intact skin. The usual dose is 2-3 injections per week.Therapy begins with an induction phase in which the dose is gradually increased until maintenance therapy is achieved. The optimal dose is determined individually and can be varied depending on the patient's reaction.
