Areas of application
Hepathrombin gel 60,000 IU is used as a supportive treatment for acute swelling following blunt trauma and for superficial phlebitis, provided these cannot be treated with compression.It is suitable for sports and accidental injuries such as sprains, strains, bruises, bruises, bruises and painful swelling after injuries.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The active ingredient in Hepathrombin Gel 60,000 IU is heparin sodium, which is obtained from pig intestinal mucosa.Each 100g tube contains 60,000 IU of heparin sodium.The other ingredients are allantoin, carbomer 980, lemon oil, dexpanthenol, isopropanol, pine needle oil, levomenthol, sodium edetate, poly(oxyethylene)-6-glycerol mono/dialkanoate (C8-C10), polysorbate 80, sorbitol solution 70%, trometamol and purified water.
Contraindications
Hepathrombin gel 60,000 IU must not be used if you are hypersensitive to heparin, levomenthol or any of the other ingredients of the gel.Its use is also not suitable in the case of an acute or known allergic drop in the number of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia type II) caused by heparin and in infants and small children up to 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm).The gel should not be applied to open wounds or weeping eczema.
Dosage and application
Apply Hepathrombin Gel 60,000 IU thinly and evenly to the affected area 2-3 times a day.The duration of use should not be longer than 10 days unless your doctor tells you otherwise.If you forget to use, continue as normal at the next prescribed time without doubling the dose.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Hepathrombin Gel 60,000 IU can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include allergic reactions to heparin, which may manifest as redness of the skin and itching.In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions to levomenthol may also occur, which can cause shortness of breath.In appropriately sensitized patients, levomenthol can cause laryngeal spasm in infants and children up to 2 years of age.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Previous experience with use in pregnant and breastfeeding women has shown no evidence of harmful effects.Heparin does not cross the placenta and does not pass into breast milk.However, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use.
Storage
Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton or tube.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.After opening, the gel should be used within 2 months.
